New vs. Old Technologies

Well hello there!!!

Welcome to spill the goss where I spill my thoughts on the ways society has shifted to an "information age" through the invention and adaptation of new communication technologies.
First up, we're looking at new vs. old technologies, how they differ and in what circumstances will new technologies become a thing of the past.

Old communication technologies can be easily distinguished through the audiences using them. If we look at the older generation of 40+ we can see the widespread use of letters, radio or TV. As the age drops, we can see more and more youth leaning towards the newer communication technologies such as mobile phones, computers and social networking. For youth born into a technological world, newer technologies have become a seventh sense.

When looking at new technologies becoming out of date, time is an obvious factor. Society is becoming lazier and lazier. Having less time and living busy lives creates opportunities for new technologies to develop. Old technologies become ancient, new technologies become old, all due to the fast paced society we live in. Facebook is the new communication medium for the moment, but only the start of the social networking world.

Something to think about...
